History

Our senior engineers were behind one of the most innovative theme rides ever created – the California and Florida large format flight simulators which have won awards and stunned audiences for almost a decade.

These two complete turn-key, state-of-the-art ride systems were conceived, designed, fabricated (including first article testing), delivered, built and commissioned by Dynamic Structures Ltd. The projects offered many technical challenges in all disciplines of engineering – all of which were met and exceeded.

Today

Dynamic Structures is designing the next generation of large format flight simulator. The Motion Theatre utilizes the latest in large-scale motion systems and projection developments to create the ultimate immersive video experience. Third generation immersive theatre effects are combined with sympathetic, programmable pitch and heave dynamics to thrill audience “riders”.

Using a conventional (and efficient) theatre layout for arrival and departure, the Motion Theatre transforms itself by positioning guests vertically into a giant, state-of-the-art oblate spheroidal screen. When flavoured with 3rd party theming, media and story, the immersive effect translates into an unforgettable family experience.

Safety

As with any advanced ride system, fatigue and safety are the key design considerations. Dynamic Structures Ltd. has been recognized as one of the leading engineering firms on the planet for its pioneering work with complex 3D computer-modeling systems. We were recently awarded Autodesk’s prestigious “Inventor of the Year” award and are working with companies like Autodesk to help develop their next generation design software. The entire Motion Theatre structure is designed statically and dynamically to guarantee ultimate reliability. Our reputation is based on over 20 years experience developing and building some of the best known attractions in the world.

Technical

The Motion Theatre comes complete with state-of-the-art oblate spheroid screen, projection equipment, 8 channel sound system, digital media hardware and motion control. Flexible solutions are available for 250 to 500 THRC, and up to 2,000 THRC in combinations.  Motion Theatres are available in multiple seating orientations and can be designed to fit into both existing and new buildings.
